Deep 5 Walnut Fretless Bass. This Deep 5 model (strung low B to G) features a semi-hollow alder body, with a Bastogne walnut top, sans binding. This type of walnut is my all time favorite, due to the coffee/cream color of the wood, and general warmth. The 35” scale neck is from eastern black walnut with rosewood strips; the 5 piece laminate construction makes a for a very stable and even sounding neck. The fingerboard and matching bridge are from ebony. A locally made (in Los Angeles) custom case fits the bass like a glove.
