Deep 4 Koa Bass #1518. This beautiful Deep 4 bass features a semi-hollow alder body, with a koa top from wood that has seasoned for over 50 years-perfect for instrument making. This model has no binding, for a very organic look. The 34” scale neck is made from 3 pieces of black walnut, and two ebony strips. This 5 piece neck construction makes a very stable neck-both for evenness of tone, and neck stability. The fretless ebony fingerboard features the integrated thumbrest option, and inset maple guidelines. Rotosound RS88 strings give this bass a very thick upright like tone. A custom made (locally in Los Angeles) form fit case rounds out the package.
