Deep 5 Walnut #1517. This beautiful Deep 5 bass features a semi-hollow alder body, with a Claro walnut top. This is California walnut, it has a very warm look with some very nice subtle color variation. It is reclaimed from downed trees in Northern Cal. The 35” scale neck is a 5 piece construction from black walnut and ebony strips- each piece of wood has a different resonant frequency; combining these creates a very even sounding and stable neck. The lined fretless fingerboard is ebony, with a matching ebony bridge. It comes with a custom made hardshell case (locally sourced in Los Angeles) that fits it like a glove. The bass is strung from G to Low B
